A treat pouch is a must-have for any dog owner. Here are some we recommend.
No matter what your training goals are, we're going to recommend that you buy a treat pouch. Anytime you and your dog go outside, you should be carrying high-value food so that you can reward them for good behavior, or counter-condition anything scary. Sure, you could shove handfuls of treats in your pockets before every walk, but then your pockets will eternally smell like meat and be filled with treat dust, so most people opt for a standalone treat pouch.
There are a million treat pouch designs out there, and we've tried a lot of them. Some are hard to access, or constantly spill, or are just awkward to wear. Others have nifty features like magnetic closures, insulated compartments to keep your refrigerated treats fresh, or room for a roll of poop bags. Here are a few of our favorites.

Stylish Hound OG Treat Bag
This is my personal favorite treat pouch, though it's definitely the biggest of the bunch and on the pricier side. It has two treat compartments (one with a magnetic closure and one with a zip) as well as a small zipper pouch to hold non-food things like your phone. It's great for carrying multiple kinds of treats, so you can have access to low-, medium-, and high-value rewards at the same time. It's got a poop bag dispenser inside as well. You can wear it around your waist or slung over your shoulder. I like the green, but it also comes in black and some fun patterns.
Find it at Stylish Hound for $43.
PetSafe Treat Pouch Mini
Before I was a professional trainer and needed to carry around a bunch of different things at once, the PetSafe treat pouch mini was my go-to treat pouch for walking around town with my dog. It's got one main pocket, plus a small pocket where you can keep very small things (I use it for a little pair of foldable pocket scissors). It can fit about two big handfuls of treats in the pouch, but is quite low profile.
I love the magnetic closure that keeps the pouch closed but provides easy access, but I do find that after a while, the metal hinge tends to break so that you can no longer keep the pouch open. Not a deal breaker necessarily (it'll just auto-close every time you take your hand out of it, so it's still usable), just not the most durable option. But for the price, an excellent choice.
Find it on Amazon for $15.
Pet N Pet Treat Pouch
This is a very affordable option with a lot of features—a drawstring closure, a zipper pocket, a pocket for your phone, a poop bag dispenser, and carabiner attachment. It comes with a belt you can wear around your waist or across your body or a clip to attach it to your belt/pocket.
Dexas Popware Silicone Treat Pouch
If you want to be able to clean your treat pouch thoroughly, a silicone option is your best bet. This one is extremely simple (just one compartment and no closure) with a price that reflects that! It comes with a waist clip rather than a belt.
Akra Creations Treat Bag
If you use raw or fresh treats that need to be kept cool, Akra Creations makes treat bags that come with a removable insulated sleeve. There are two pockets plus a section for an ice pack, as well as a D ring if you want to attach something with a carabiner (like your keys). I like the fanny pack design, but they also make cross-body and thigh bag designs.

Wild One Treat Pouch
If you're a fashion person, Wild One's products come in a bunch of fun colors that match their harnesses and leashes. The pouch itself is quite spacious, with a second compartment for your phone and a poop bag dispenser. Can be worn around the waist or as a cross-body.
